HI there friends!!!

 

Well its a new month and a new day!! Especially for me! :) I have decided to start a new weight loss journey! This time, its not about pills or diets, its about a life change!!!

 

I started 30 day shred by Jillian Michaels and let me just say, if I'm not shredded within these 30 days, then oh my gosh, there has to be something wrong! This video is tough!! Maybe because this is my first day, but either way...I can tell its gonna work!!

 

 

 

 

 

I'm a part of  fitness group on FB and will be checking in and keeping track there,, and I will be doing the same here... I will also participate in the 30 day Ab challenge with that group!!

Although I'm not ready to show before and after pics I will keep track and maybe share some later!!

 

So here's to new beginnings! :)



 

Day 1: whew...I could barely keep up...at points I had to stop doing the moves, but I kept it moving, hoping tomorrow will be easier.

Ophelia Dress Pattern Review!!

I'm back today with another PDF pattern review!! Today, I'll be reviewing the Ophelia Dress by Ali Aitken.  I have had the pleasure of meeting Ali through FB and she is such a sweet, and encouraging person! 

 

I bought and sewed up her Ophelia Dress earlier today! It was such an easy sew, and the best part about this pattern is not only do you get a full picture tutorial, you also get a video to go with it!!! WHAAAAA???? :)  She gives amazing tips, and if you're new to knits you'll love this one!!!

Signature Creations Olivia Dress Pattern Review!!

Well Hello World!! How are ya??? Yep, its been a while, way too long, but now I'm back and life is crazier than ever!!!

 

Today, I'm coming to you with a pattern review!! A couple of years ago when my oldest was born, I was so excited to start sewing for her!! I started out just making up my own patterns, then I got bored...so I went into Joann's Fabrics, when they were having their $.99 pattern sales and picked up a ton of patterns!! Got home, opened a pattern, threw it down and never picked it up again (yep, I have a whole drawer of paper patterns that I don't use!!) Well, then I found out about the wonderful world of PDF patterns, and let me tell ya...I. BUY. ONE. EVERYDAY!! (hopefully the hubby never reads this...lol)  Anyhoo....PDF patterns, are the best thing since sliced bread...( I've always wanted to say that! HA!) I have had the opportunity to test for some AMAZING pdf pattern designers and one of my favorite designers is Astrid Novak over at {Sig}nature Creations!! Her patterns are so simple, if you're a beginner, you will seriously feel like you're a pro once you've tried her patterns...but the great thing about her patterns is that it also offers challenges for the pros too!! Anyone can use them!!!

 

I had the opportunity to test one of her newest patterns...The Olivia Dress (don't you just love that name!)

 

 

 

This dress makes me so happy, and with so many options, you're sure to find one that you love!! This is not just your basic knot dress, you can tie the straps in a bow, make button holes or just leave them as cute little knots!!

 

And oh my goodness, look at the ruffles on this bum....

Her instructions made doing these ruffles so easy!! So simple and easy to understand!!!

 

Another great thing about this pattern is that you can mash up the bodice with her other patterns, I love patterns that give me options...more for my money...YEAH!!

 

Well, there you go, a great dress, perfect for any occasion, perfect for any season, add a layering tee in the fall and winter, where it as is in the spring and summer! Hey there friends!!!

Well, I've decided to take my business K-squared in a different direction!

I don't think I've shared with you all, that I am a business owner! I make modest clothing for your sweet little lady!

I started this for my girls, I would see so many boutique style clothing that I loved, but couldn't make myself pay the price for them!!! So I decided to learn how to sew and do it myself! And that's exactly what I've done!!!

I then decided that I wanted to share my designs with the public. So I started doing custom orders, which was terrible for me!! I hated it, the stress! Ugh...well after thinking about it quite a bit, I've decided to do only ready to sell items! I think this will relieve a lot of stress!! So each week, I will choose a design and work on it throughout the week in different sizes! I'll see how it goes from there!!

Just checking in, I haven't been feeling well at all this week but I had some time to sew a few things for my girlies! I still have some stuff cut out that I need to sew, not sure if I'll get to it this week though! Anyway...here's some pics!

Quiet Saturday morning...

Hi friends!

I absolutely love quiet mornings with my fam. Everyone's snoozing and mommy is planning the day!

I've been slacking lately, so much to get done. I plan to start on my girls thanksgiving outfits today ( should have done this a long time ago!) and maybe make a few more things for myself too! I see a trip to the fabric store in the plans today!!!
